EYES ON THE STREET
WOW! Are you kidding? A '57 Skyliner still pulling its weight. My first driver was a Fairlane 500 hard top which to this day I wish I never let go. Hope this owner will pretty her up some day with a nice paint job. Just a little trivia here. While Americas darling is the '57 Chevy Bel air (made famous by Dina Shore's Chevy commercial song) the Fairlane line, from what I've been told, out sold the Bel air by 414 units for the 1957 model year.
Actually, the lady who owned it loved the patina, and was just going to put a clear coat over the rust to keep it from getting serious.-Ryan
I'm always astonished how massive a boot many of these cars from this era had had.
