1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited

5.9L V8. 0-60 in 6.8 seconds. The hood vents are functional. The extra-meshy grille was standard, as were the 180 watt (yes, one hundred eighty) ten-speaker sound system, a full leather spare tire cover with multiple pockets, extra faux wood trim throughout the cabin, among other exceptional bits.
Chrylser knocked it out of the park with this Frankenstein. The one year production run wasn't a coincidence.

  1. In the late 90's I convinced my mom to buy a '95 Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition. It had the 5.2 liter V8. It did the meanest snowy parking lot reverse donuts. I was on top of the world until a rich assbag classmate of mine showed up with a 5.9 Limited that his parents bought him.

    1. In high school, a friend's parents had an Orvis Edition.
I was always: "What the hell is an Orvis?"

  3. I guess the Orvis Edition was like a one-up on the Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. Though, neither carried the stature of the Mercury Villager Nautica Edition.
