1956 Buick Special 4-Door

Ned Nickles was here.

Ventiports are a functional design element. Harley Earl didn't add them to Buick's design language as a 2003 Buick ad campaign claimed. Ned Nickles, a Buick stylist, introduced them in 1940.
Today, Pep Boys racers enjoy stick-on fender vents, often applying them at random and universally without the help of a bubble level.
